La Noisette is a fully renovated farmhouse with separate barn and swimming pool surrounded by meadows, farms and vineyards. The house is on three floors and sleeps 4 people.
On the ground floor is a fully fitted kitchen and large farmhouse table seating up to 8. On this floor there is also a bathroom with bath and WC, and utility area. The large salon takes up the whole of the 1st floor, and is furnished with a number of French country antiques as well as comfortable modern sofa and chairs. The large traditional fireplace has a wood-burning stove, and exposed beams and stone features add to the charm of this room. On the second floor there is one double and one twin bedroom, which share a shower room with WC.
The grounds include a 'figure of eight' shaped heated swimming pool with terrace, and an enchanting walled garden adjacent to the house. The swimming pool is now protected by a wall and fence (not shown in the photo) so children can not access the pool unaccompanied. Garden furniture, sun-beds and a barbeque are available for guest's use.
A mere 15 minutes drive takes you to villages, chateaux, caves and of course the Dordogne River. To the west is Collonges-le Rouge, the “city of little castles”, and Turenne, a 15th century village whose high pitched roofs surround two castles from which the foothills of the Massif Central can be seen. To the south and east is the Dordogne valley, with a wealth of villages such as Loubressac, Autoire, Carennac and Martel. The Chateaux of Castelnau, Belcastel and Montal are all close by, while the citadel of Rocamadour is only 30 minutes drive away.
