Fully renovated in 2001, Les Fardines is a traditional stone built cottage offering complete privacy, situated 3km from the hamlet of Puy d’Arnac and 7 km from the small market town of Meyssac. The house offers 2500 m2 of grounds, private heated swimming pool with Roman end, and is the ideal choice for those wanting to enjoy the beauty of the countryside.
Steps lead up to the main door, opening into the living room with it's open fireplace, exposed stone and beams, and wood flooring. Three steps lead down to the fully fitted kitchen/dining area. Sliding doors lead onto the terrace and outdoor eating area. On the first floor there is one double and one twin bedroom sharing a bathroom with bath, shower and sink, and a separate toilet.
A mere 15 minutes drive takes you to villages, chateaux, caves and of course the Dordogne River. To the west is Collonges-le Rouge, the “city of little castles”, and Turenne, a 15th century village whose high pitched roofs surround two castles from which the foothills of the Massif Central can be seen. To the south and east is the Dordogne valley, with a wealth of villages such as Loubressac, Autoire, Carennac and Martel. The Chateaux of Castelnau, Belcastel and Montal are all close by, while the citadel of Rocamadour is only 30 minutes drive away.
For those of you wanting a little extra from your holiday, we are happy to offer welcome hampers, maid service, pre cooked meals and even organise for a chef to cook for you at home- or if you fancy a meal out without the children- a babysitter!
