The Wishing Well is a detached cottage located in Soudley, a small village in the heart of the magical Forest of Dean - within easy reach of The Wye Valley. With forest views to the front & rear, the house offers an ideal base for exploring, or simply relaxing in, this beautiful part of England.
There is a living room/diner, 2 bedrooms, one twin and 1 double with king size bed, a conservatory , modern well equipped kitchen and modern bathroom/sep WC. Enclosed garden and car parking.
An area of outstanding historical interest, natural beauty and wildlife, the Forest of Dean is located between the valley of the River Wye and banks of the River Severn. The area offers a wide range of activities including walking / cycling / horseriding / birdwatching / canoeing. There are local footpaths and bridle ways in the immediate area and others throughout the Forest and the Wye Valley - e.g. the Wye Valley Walk and Offa's Dyke Path. Or, if you simply want to relax and unwind, it’s the perfect place - a million miles away, or so it seems, from the pressures and stress of work and city life.
Within walking distance from the house are the Dean Heritage Centre and Soudley Ponds. The Heritage Centre provides a wealth of fascinating information on the Forest's history, culture and local crafts. Other places of local interest include the award winning Sculture Trail, Puzzle Wood with its spectacular maze, and Clearwell Caves.
Other places nearby include Symonds Yat and the beautiful Wye Valley. Visits to Gloucester Docks, Chepstow Castle and South Wales are also possible during a stay in Soudley.
