Situated in the beautiful Great Glen, "Ar Taigh Fiodh" (gaelic translation meaning "our wooden house") is an excellent base, from where you can explore the majestic Highlands of Scotland.
The chalet, adjoining our garden, enjoys a village setting within easy walking distance of a shop, pub and restaurants to suit all tastes.
This cosy chalet was completed in 2001, it is well maintained, clean warm, comfortable and tastefully furnished. The chalet consists of 2 bedrooms, shower room and open plan kitchen, living area, wooden flooring with rugs' throughout. Living area is tastefully furnished, including T.V., video, D.V.D. and C. D. Radio player. Bedrooms with pine furnishings. Linen provided. The bedrooms are a double & a twin, sleeping 4 people. There is a lockable shed storage for bikes & ski's.
Spean Bridge is a small picturesque village with outstanding views of "The Grey Corries" and "Aonach Mor" mountains. It is situated 9 miles north of Fort William and 6 miles north of "Aonach Mor" Ski-ing range.
Set in beautiful countryside, Spean Bridge is an ideally set location for exploring the Highlands of Scotland. It has fantastic views with quiet country walks and mountain biking tracks. There are two museums and a memorial which pay tribute to the commando's who trained in this area during World War 2. There is also a woolen mill with a coffee shop and a good selection of tartans. Nearby, within walking distance, is a golf course. Fishing is also available locally.
