This charming country cottage stands on its own, only 10 miles from Edinburgh. Its secluded garden is surrounded by beautiful accessible countryside with a nearby golf course. Park Neuk is a self-catering holiday cottage which combines the character and charm of an old house with the comfort and convenience of many recent improvements.
The cottage sleeps five plus a baby in three bedrooms. It is comfortable, well equipped and spacious with full central heating. The lounge has comfortable armchairs and settee around an open fire, the dining area has a picture window facing south over the garden. The Master bedroom is a spacious, airy room with a double bed; a baby's cot can be provided.
The 'Stone Room' (bare sandstone on three walls), is provided with twin single beds. It has a French window facing west and opening onto the garden. Short breaks are welcome out of season. Children are welcome, but no smoking and no pets. Disabled access category 3 - suitable for a person of limited mobility. WiFi Internet access is provided. The Garden lies to the south and west of the house. A terrace beside the back door offers space to sit out in warm weather, and a garden table with chairs are provided. It is a mature garden in harmony with nature and designed to attract wildlife; it is managed to give colour and interest all the year round.
It is an ideal location for walkers, cyclists or horseriders. An excellent touring base with easy access to Edinburgh, the Scottish Borders, Fife, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. Rosslyn Chapel is only 3 miles away. A pub and a shop are within walking distance, there is a 24/7 supermarket not far away.
Children are very welcome, but no smoking and no pets. Disabled access category 3 - suitable for a person of limited mobility. WiFi Internet access is provided.
The cottage is fully accessible by public transport - despite the isolated location, you do not need a car. From the end of the lane there are half-hourly bus services to and from the centre of Edinburgh with a journey time of 40-50 minutes. A corner shop within walking distance carries all necessities and a bus service is also available to nearby shopping centres.
