Essential Travel

Space this Autumn for short breaks. Old Oak Barn offers unique self catering accommodation for 4 in a secluded woodland valley. It is situated in West Carmarthenshire near the Pembrokeshire border only 10 minutes off the main A40 at St Clears. The barn has been renovated and restored in 2004/05 to provide a very high standard of accommodation - some may say luxury accommodation. The main features are its very spacious south facing stone patio adjoining the building as well as the interior with plain white walls and wooden features many of which came from timber grown in Cwmpalis Woods. Underfloor heating provides an especially comfortable warmth all year round and enables the beautifully handcrafted alder floor to be seen at its best. Very child friendly accommodation but strictly no pets.

The kitchen is very well equipped and contains all you will need for your holiday or short break. Huge main living room has two sofas, one very large table and chairs TV DVD Freeview. Two bedrooms simply furnished are situated adjacent to the large main living room which measures 6 x 5 metres. We opened 05/02/05. We welcome those wanting short breaks throughout the year - minimum of 3 nights usually. And we also especially welcome children. This part of Carmarthenshire is easily accessible from the M4 being approximately 90 minutes from the Severn Bridge.

Please get in touch if you would like to know more about Old Oak Barn. We have a detailed sheet we can email with plenty of information. We are only a short drive from many of the well known and beautiful parts of West Wales which include of course the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and National Park. Maybe you will see Neil Morrissey at his Browns Hotel in Laugharne now a major tourist attraction in West Wales. Visit Oakwood Park only 30 minutes away. Tenby, Saundersfoot and Caldey Island also nearby.

Available on a per night basis (min 2 nights) at £60 per night. Short breaks more than welcome in March and April.
