Cobblestone Cottage has been built with people with disabilities in mind. With a tarmac driveway and flagged patio area. Whinfell is a 180 acre Beef and Sheep Farm situated under Whinfell Beacon 4 miles North of the market town of Kendal. The two newly converted stone and slate barn cottages provide top quality Lake District self catering accommodation
The lounge has a TV with teletext, DVD player and video and Sky Freeview. There is seating for nine people with two of the chairs being of the cottage design, See our website for full details of our disabled facilities. The ground floor also has one bedroom with a super king size zipped link bed giving the room two options for sleeping arrangements. There are 3 bedrooms on the next floor comprising of one family room (1 double and 2 single beds), one double room, one single bedroom) and a bathroom. Outside the cottage there is ample parking space for four cars.
Walks start from right outside the back door which go to Whinfell Beacon, Grayrigg and Selside. Behind Whinfell Beacon there are beautiful walks around Bretherdale and Borrowdale. Whinfell Tarn is a five minute walk away, this is a lovely area for bird watching
