This small collection of four self contained and fully equipped holiday cottages is set in a tranquil area of outstanding natural beauty in rural southwest France. The property enjoys beautiful views to the village of Salviac (2km) and across the valley beyond.

Hortensia is arranged on 2 levels. Upstairs has one double bedroom and one spacious triple bedroom, with an additional pull out bed. downstairs is the open plan Lounge/dining/kitchen area and a shower room with wc. This gite is suitable for up to 6 persons, but is NOT suitable for very small children, elderly or infirm, as the stairs are quite steep. area, The gite has a small private terrace, furnished for outside dining, which overlooks the pool area.

The gités share a pool which is fenced and alarmed and has terracing and attractive decking with shades and sun-loungers. Additionally, there is a communal barbeque area, laundry facilities and a large open area for volleyball, football and badminton. There is a table tennis table and play equipment for small children.

The property has direct access to miles of paths for walking and cycling and we can provide maps, and packed lunches if required. Tennis is available in Salviac and Horse-riding is nearby. The Lolivare golf course is a 30 minute drive.

The property is just 10 kilometres from the Dordogne, where you can swim, fish or canoe or visit one of the many places of interest along this valley, including Beynac and Sarlat, with its lively saturday market. There is a selection of Restaurants in all budget ranges within easy distance.

Salviac is just 3 kilometres away and is a typical Lotoise village on the borders of the departments Lot and Dordogne. The village has everything for the day to day requirements of our guests, including bakers, butchers, mini supermarket, post office, bank, bars, restaurants and a small weekly market. It is 15 kilometres west of the Medieval bastide town of Gourdon and 15 kilometres south of Cenac on the Dordogne river. For wine lovers, we are surrounded by the famous Cahors vineyards and Chateaux and the area is famous for its locally produced goats cheeses and foie gras.

Breakfast and evening meals may be available during your stay, please enquire with owners at time of booking. Short breaks of 3, 4, 5, 10 and 11 day are available, during mid and low season, prices on application. Long lets available October - April. Please enquire by phone or e mail.
