Genuinely within easy driving distance to superb beaches at the mouth of the Gironde and on the Atlantic coast - near Royan, convenient to Bordeaux, Cognac and La Rochelle. Parc Solaire is rural and quiet; if we see more than five cars a day on our road, we wonder where the party is (and why weren't we invited). The local town, shopping, fresh bread and croissants, is an easy pre-breakfast bicycle ride away; a few short minutes by car. Our nearest village of Gemozac, with supermarkets, weekly street market, 3 patisseries, 2 chemists, doctors, dentist, etc., is just 5 minutes away. It's an easy bicycling distance for fetching the morning's fresh croissant. Sandy beaches go from our "local" Meschers-sur-Gironde and Saint-Georges-de-Didonne (20-30 minutes)
The fully fenced in Swimming Pool is large: 15 metres x 15 metres and surrounded with lots of sunbathing space on it's wide tiled terrace. It has a beach - and "Wildcat Island".
