Le Logis de Boisgiraud' is a stunning 17th century Logis which has been sympathetically restored into quality holiday accommodations with a large pool. Logis du Nord is a large 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home which sleeps 2 - 9 comfortably. With 2 acres of garden, an alarmed walled and gated pool of 17m x 8m with a shallow beach area, easy access to the beach (25 mins), surrounded by vines, sunflowers and fields you are able to thoroughly relax in your own 17C accommodation.
Entrance hallway has large double doors accessing the courtyard and the pool side of the house, with stone walls, terracotta tiled floor and imposing staircase. There is also a downstairs toilet. Kitchen/Dining Room has a Charentaise fireplace with wood burner. The kitchen is stylish with modern appliances. The Living Room has its original stone walls, oak parquet floors and Charentaise fireplace. Master bedroom (40sqm) has a fantastic king post original oak beamed ceiling and traditional Charentaise fireplace it has a king sized bed, single bed and en-suite bathroom with double ended bath. Bedrooms 2 & 3 each have a double and single bed with en-suite bathrooms.
Boisgiraud is set in a relaxed rural environment surrounded by fields. We are located only 5 mins from the nearest market town Gemozac. It is only 25 mins to lovely sandy beaches & 10 mins to the port at Mortagne sur Gironde. Saintes - 20 mins with an extraordinarily rich architectural heritage with the 'Abbey aux Dames', the 'Roman Amphitheatre' and its outstanding cathedral and churches which are well worth a visit. Cognac - 40 mins with its ancient streets, mansions and of course famous Cognac houses open to visitors, it is a must see. The outstanding zoo complex, said to be the best in France. La Rochelle - 1 hour. The fabulous 11th century port is now the biggest yachting centre on France's Atlantic coast. Its large aquarium and old city are a good day out.
