5 award winning, 4 Star, cosy, Victorian self catering cottages in an AONB in South Devon between Dartmouth and Salcombe, and less than a mile from the SW Coastpath and Beesands village with an unspoilt beach and a newly refurbished gastro pub serving delicious, locally sourced food. This cottage features original features. It has a "rococo" style kingsize four poster bed in the double bedroom with ensuite shower room and a twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The Bull House provides a warm and cosy atmosphere. By choosing which ensuite bedroom you want, a couple can rent the Bull House at a reduced 2 person rate (off season only). Off season short breaks also available.
The whole cottage has oil fired central heating throughout, colour television, radio and DVD player. The kitchen has a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave oven, electric oven/hob, extractor, fridge/freezer. There are stairgates fitted at the top, and bottom of the stairs and there are cots and high chairs as required .
The cottage has its own patio area with picnic bench and there are picnic tables, barbecues and shared lawned areas in the grounds. There is plenty of car parking and space for boats and trailers too. Shared use of a table tennis table in an unconverted barn, wildlife ponds and nature reserve which are attractively fenced and secured and bike store are all for your use. Under 10's play area in the orchard.
Also there is a small unfenced dog exercise area with dog bin.
The immediate area is abundant with wildlife with special bird watching facilities at Slapton and Widdicombe Ley lakes and Prawle Point. Also, there are spectacular walks along the glorious South West Coastal Path, sea angling from Beesands and Slapton Sands. The cottage is near to some of Devon's most beautiful and clean beaches at Beesands, Blackpool Sands, Mattiscombe, Rickham Sands, Bantham, Millbay and Bigbury. You can eat out with a choice of very good pubs and restaurants within a short drive.
Beeson also makes an excellent base for touring. A visit to one of the many interesting country houses and gardens - National Trust properties at Overbecks, Coleton Fishacre, Castle Drogo, Saltram House, Buckland Abbey, Greenaway (Agatha Christie's house & garden), Cotehele. A voyage up the enchanting Dart and Kingsbridge Estuaries or hire a dinghy or yacht at Salcombe or Dartmouth - the famous South West sailing centres or enjoy a day trip to the Eden Project.
