The hotel has been owned by Paul & June Hopper since 1986 and is run personally by them with a friendly team offering a high standard of personal & hospitable service.

There are 5 four poster rooms, 1 of which has a double jacuzzi bath and is non seafacing. The other 4 are seafacing, 3 with standard bathrooms and one deluxe with private terrace and luxury bathroom with double airbath, tv and steam shower. Castle rooms are available all of which are seafacing and have mini fridges, video players & ironing facilities. There are a number of lounge areas where you can simply relax away from the pressures of the modern world, the most popular looking directly onto the sea with the added comfort of a log fire in colder months. Picture postcard views abound from the windows of our oak panelled restaurant as it looks out over the harbour, complemented by the lounge bar with leather chesterfields, log fire and a wide choice of malt whiskies and wines.

The hotel was built in the mid 1800's as farm buildings. Part of the building became an Inn with parts being used as a school room, village reading rooms and even the village fire station. Lime kilns which were an important part of the harbour life were situated immediately in front of the hotel and the hotel garden now stands on top of them, offering majestic views of the coastline. In recent times the hotel has added modern facilites whilst still retaining the character and charm of days gone by.
