Red House Hotel

The Red House Hotel is situated in the leafy lanes of Chelston, a charming and tranquil area of Torquay identified by its large red-stone Victorian Villas. This quiet location is the ideal place to unwind and enjoy a holiday with all the comforts of home.

All bedrooms are ensuite and include televisions and early morning tea tray. Guests staying at the hotel are welcome to enjoy our indoor and outdoor leisure facilities. The pool lounge is particularly pleasant with patio doors opening onto the garden and large picture windows overlooking the indoor pool. The hotel is well equipped, with its comfortable lounge, bar and restaurant area, all overlooking the enclosed garden which provides a pleasant and sheltered suntrap in the summer. Breakfast and a three course dinner are served daily in our restaurant in addition to an extensive bar menu which provides meals and snacks throughout the day.

Tor Bay is known as the English Riviera - and with good reason. The resort enjoys some of the finest weather in England and is an area of great natural beauty. Palm trees and other tropical plants thrive and there are many beaches and small sandy coves to enjoy. Shopping and entertainment facilities in Torquay itself are excellent and nearby there is a wealth of attractions for all age groups including gardens and parks, Paignton Zoo, Babbacombe Model Village, and the Dart Valley Railway. Torquay has many good restaurants, pubs and night clubs. The Riviera Centre is just 300yds away from the Red House Hotel and Maxton Lodge. Torquay also provides a convenient base for the more adventurous to explore Devon and Cornwall with a wealth of un-spoilt beaches and coves, picturesque fishing villages and major attractions like the National Marine Aquarium less then an hour away in Plymouth or the Eden Project in St.Austell less than two hours away.
