Burton Farmhouse

Award winning Burton Farmhouse can be found in the South Hams of South Devon - an area of outstanding beauty. Our 15th century farmhouse and its two pretty, self catering cottages nestle in South Huish valley at Galmpton near to the old fishing village of Hope Cove.

Choose from 14 farmhouse ensuite rooms in country style and family, double, twin or single bed rooms. There is a ground floor room with easy wheel chair access and non slip shower & grab rails. All rooms have colour TV, clock radio, hairdryers, bedroom tea & coffee making facilities and central heating throughout. Relax in the fully licensed Retreat lounge with winter log fires. Enjoy our four course farmhouse breakfast and dinner (optional) in the Garden Room Restaurant. Dine in the Garden Room Restaurant, the cosy Retreat Bar or in summer, out in the Patio Garden. Burton Farmhouse has an envious reputation for real Devon hospitality and fine dining. Savour tasty, home made food to our own recipes, all cooked with passion and flair. We use fresh, quality, produce, most of which is sourced locally in the South Hams.

Close by are the beautiful estuary towns of Salcombe and Kingsbridge, stunning beaches and coastal walks.Lovingly restored with a wealth of original features, character and charm, Burton Farmhouse is the ideal place for bed and breakfast, family holidays, pre school getaways, walking breaks and romantic escapes. The Farmhouse is also a licensed venue for weddings, civil partnership, renewal of vows and naming ceremonies.Originally owned by the Earl of Devonshire, Burton Farmhouse is set in 325 acres. It is a working farm with a pedigree Holstein dairy herd and two flocks of pedigree breeding sheep Polled Dorsets and Suffolks. The Rossiter family has farmed in the South Hams for more than 100 years.
