The Castle Hotel, once a Norman fortress, has been welcoming travellers to the town since the 12th century.The Chapman family have been running the hotel for 50 years and have established worldwide reputation for their hospitality.

We have 44 bedrooms providing a variety of different types of accommodation. All are individually decorated and offer LCD TVs, WiFi, tea & coffee making facilities and complimentary Hildon water. Bathrobes are available for use in our Garden Suites. One small dog per room is welcome, at an additional charge of £10 per night.

Few English counties can offer such a variety of landscapes as Somerset. Apart from walking Somerset offers the chance to enjoy a whole range of sports and leisure activities. There's some fine riding country, a number of excellent golf courses, sea and river fishing and coastal and reservoir sailing.
